The Stage 1 team would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and partnership this year. 2024 has been filled with laughter, learning, and many delightful adventures! We’ve watched your children grow in ways that leave us in awe. Each day they surprised us with their curiosity and creativity, soaring to new heights together. They truly are our little stars!
As we break for the holidays, we hope you enjoy this special time with your loved ones and that your holidays are filled with joy.
We are so excited to see all the smiling faces return in 2025, ready for more learning adventures and exciting experiences. Thank you to our families for being such an essential part of our Stage 1 family.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a fantastic new year ahead!
In the final weeks of Term 4, our English sessions focused on narrative planning and writing. The students created imaginative stories, using all the skills they had developed throughout the year and provided each other with helpful feedback on writing. During our InitiaLit sessions, students also reviewed the spelling strategies they had learned, which helped them read and write unfamiliar words.
In mathematics, students engaged in various problem-solving tasks that challenged their critical thinking and collaboration skills. They worked independently and together to tackle real-life scenarios. Students practised their skills in determining position and using positional language. Through these activities, they learned to apply mathematical concepts to everyday situations while developing their ability to reason and communicate their ideas effectively.
