Scholastic Rewards
As I mentioned in Week 8’s newsletter, the Chatswood community successfully raised nearly $1400 in Scholastic credit. Thanks to your support, we have been able to purchase 85 new books! Some will replace damaged or outdated titles, while others will expand popular collections, such as our Disney collection.
This achievement is a testament to your support and dedication to nurturing your child’s love of reading. We sincerely thank all the parents who use Book Club to encourage reading at home. If you’re interested in participating, simply ask your child if they have received their Book Club catalogue for the term and follow the purchase instructions on the back.
Remember, 15% of every sale contributes to the school’s credit, helping us provide new and exciting reading experiences for all students at Chatswood Public School
Holiday Library Visits
Holidays can be stressful for parents, especially with tight budgets. Luckily, local libraries offer fantastic programs that are either free or very affordable for families.
These programs provide engaging and educational activities to keep children entertained during the holidays without breaking the bank.
Feeling adventurous? Explore libraries beyond your local area! Pack a lunch and take the train to Sydney City Library or Parramatta Library at PHIVE. The possibilities for discovery are endless!
To help you get started, I’ve included some useful links for parents seeking fun and enriching holiday activities. Please be sure to read all information carefully before making your plans.
