Girls Polding Rugby League

In week 2 we had three girls Bo Brodrick, Amelia Weston and Amali Spurr venture of to try out for the 2025 Polding Girls development team.  Mr Maguire mentioned how well all girls played.  A special congratulations must go to Amali Spurr who was selected in the 2025 team.  She  as part of the team will play an Exhibition game against Mackillop at the NSW Rugby League Centre of Excellence, Homebush on Tuesday 9th December. Following the Exhibition game the girls will recover in the Centre of Excellence recovery rooms, listen to a guest speaker, have lunch and a tour of the facilities. We look forward to Amali telling us about this great experience.

Stage 1 (Year 1 and 2) Intensive Swimming

Once again this year we will be having intensive swimming with our Stage 1 students in week 9.  Parents please make sure permission notes have been returned as soon as possible so that we can move forward with the program.

We are very lucky to be able to use the facilities at Kinross and we thank Brandon Lawrence for helping give our students this wonderful life skill.

Great Achievement Hunter

Hi McAuley family,

I wanted to share some exciting news about Hunter’s amazing achievement over the weekend! He competed in his first-ever international Jiu Jitsu event, the Pan Pacific Jiu Jitsu Championships in Melbourne — the biggest and most prestigious Jiu Jitsu tournament in Australia — and brought home a gold medal!

This is an amazing achievement for Hunter, especially coming from a country town without the same access to training partners and coaching styles as larger cities. His natural talent for Jiu Jitsu, along with his hard work and dedication, has now put him on the international stage. He is also the only student from the Central West to ever win gold at this event, which makes it even more special.

Hunter was so proud that he took his medal to school to show his classmates and share his excitement.

Thank you so much for always supporting Hunter and encouraging his passions both in and outside of school.
