We are incredibly proud of our 38 amazing students who represented McAuley at the NAIROC Eisteddfod at the Orange Function Centre – and placed 3rd! 🥉👏
A huge thank you to Mrs Leonard for her incredible time, energy, and dedication in preparing the students for this special event. Your hard work truly shone through in their performances. 🌟
It was an honour to be part of the NAIDOC Week celebrations, coming together to celebrate culture, creativity, and community. ❤️🖤💛

Everyone feels anxious or worried every now and then. Young children can worry about things like starting school, meeting new people, exams, joining a new sportsteam or going on an excursion out of town. These feelings are natural responses to common situations that are usually short-lived. For some young people however, anxiety can be severe and persistent,to the extent that it interferes with the activities of day-to-day life and causes problems at school and at home.
BRAVE is based on the principles of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a treatment that has shown to be effective in treating anxiety in young people. It was developed by a team from the University of Queensland, Griffith University and the University of Southern Queensland and in May 2014 was made freely available online in association with beyondblue and UniQuest.
This term we are continuing to run Brave groups from year 3-6 to support our students who require some social and emotional support.
