REMINDER - Subway Lunch Orders
Please place orders in Subway Tub Thursday for delivery Friday. Late orders are to be submitted to Subway Store before close of business Thursday evening, please avoid dropping them in Friday morning.
For orders via CDFpay, please select all items on the menu to be included in your students Sub and submit before 2.45pm Thursdays.
Updated - Summer School Uniform
Students are now able to wear Summer uniform during term 4. Changes to this is at the principal's discretion.
Summer Uniform consist's of -
- All students - Grey shorts/Skort, School polo top (short or long sleeve) and school navy blue windcheater if required, grey socks for boys OR white socks for girls.
- Sports uniform is to be worn for students PE day and all students are required to wear school polo shirt & windcheater as required, plain black basketball shorts - no logos permitted and no bike shorts, these are not school uniform.
- All Students - School Hat is required for all outdoor play and activities. Please ensure this is clearly named.
PLEASE NOTE
- Bike shorts/leggings are not school uniform.
- Students uniform items should not have any branding or logos other than school print.
- Shorts are to be visible and longer than T-Shirt and or Jumper.
- Jewellery - sleepers or studs 1 per ear, extra earrings are to be clear, 1 necklace with religious or cultural symbol, nose piercing is not to be noticeable (eg clear stud) or should be covered, no bangles or bracelets.
Hair ties to be black or Navy Blue.
News from Around The School
New - Term 4 After School Program
After school program is Government funded Program run by St. Mary’s School through Sporting Schools Program. The program runs for 1 hour after school. The children are provided with a drink and fruit. The program will be offered for 7 weeks.
Each session starts at 3.45pm and finishes at 4.45 p.m. The program is supervised at all times and an outside person runs the program. Each session can only take 25 children.
This term we are offering the following:
Multi Games with Skillzone Multi Sports Coaching, with the aim of this program being to have fun, learn new games and be happy. This will be held in the Marian Centre or Oval depending on the weather.
WEDNESDAYS - starting Wednesday 22nd October for 7 WEEKS, finishing on 3rd December.
THURSDAYS - starting Thursday 23rd October for 7 WEEKS, finishing on 4th December.
The children will meet Maree outside the Marian Centre straight after school and have fruit and a drink.

New - Division Athletics Success!
On Monday, 13th October, twenty talented students represented St Mary’s at the Division Athletics held at the Shepparton Athletics Track. It was a fantastic day filled with determination, effort, and school pride.
All of our students gave their very best and should be extremely proud of their efforts and the way they represented St Mary’s with such positive sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
A huge congratulations to the following students on their outstanding results:
- Noah Castle – 4th, 9/10 Boys 1500m
- Evie Lowe – 3rd, 12/13 Girls 1500m
- Bayden Newman – 3rd, 11 Years Boys High Jump
- Alexis Jacques – 3rd, 11 Years Girls Discus
- James Sibio – 2nd, 11 Years Boys Shot Put
- Madelyn Pearce – 2nd, 12/13 Girls Discus
We also wish James and Madelyn all the very best as they compete this Friday in Albury at the Regional Athletics Championships. What an incredible achievement go St Mary’s!
New - 5/6 Inquiry Launch
Last Friday, the 5/6 classroom transformed into an airplane, as the students travelled to Japan, South Africa and Germany to launch our Term 4 Inquiry topic - “How do people, places and culture differ across the world?”
The students had their boarding passes ready and got their passports stamped as they journeyed around!
Lots of learning about our world will happen this Term!
New - Interschool Athletics Success!
Last week, students from Grades 3–6 proudly represented St Mary’s at the Interschool Athletics Carnival. It was a fantastic day filled with energy, team spirit, and great competition.
Our students gave it their all across a range of events and displayed outstanding sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the day. It was wonderful to see everyone supporting one another, celebrating achievements, and enjoying the experience.
A big well done to all who participated and gave their best effort on the day you should be very proud of your efforts and the way you represented St Mary’s!
New - Term 3 - Supporters Day
What a fantastic day for Supporters Day on the last day of Term 3!
Thank you to the P&F who organised our hotdog lunch to celebrate and to all the helpers including some of Grade 5/6 leaders.
New - Term 3 - Grades 5/6 Science Expo
Congratulations to our budding scientists in Grade 5/6!
Today’s Science Expo was filled with so many wonderful and interactive displays, proudly shared with our St. Mary’s community. Our students showcased their creativity, curiosity and knowledge in such impressive ways!
A big thank you to our teachers for preparing and guiding the students for this special event – what a fantastic celebration of learning!
New - Term 3 - Prep Kyabram Fauna Park Excursion
Last Term our foundation students travelled by bus to Kyabram Fauna Park and had an enjoyable day.
New - Term 3 - Creation in Religious Education
Last term our grade 2 classes learnt how to care for Creation in Religious Education and found things of beauty that God created, they also took a close up ohoto of them.
New - Term 3 - Grades 1/2 Science Excursion
Last term our grades 1/2 students travelled to Bendigo to visit the Discovery Science and Technology Centre in Bendigo. The students had a fabulous time exploring all things science. Well done to everyone for participating enthusiastically and representing our school so beautifully.
New - Term 3 Italian Classes Update
In Term 3 Italian classes the Foundation students learnt about i colori-the colours. They have learnt the colours- rosso (red), blu (blue), arancione (orange), giallo (yellow), bianco (white), verde (green), nero (black) and viola (purple).
The students were also able to communicate in Italian using the words "ciao" (hi/bye) and "buona sera" (good evening)
I have been very impressed with the student's enthusiasm to participate in Italian games and activities, Well done preps!

Foodshare
Recently, St Mary's School has become an agent for Foodshare. We are able to assist with some food items for families in the Mooroopna area. We have prepacked frozen meals that are great for people who are ill. We are also able to provide some food supplies. Each week we receive a selection of groceries, fruits and vegetables. If you need support please reach out to Gary Woodward or Liz Turk via the school office - 5825285.
