Story Stones Garden Bed
Last week, we were delighted to welcome back Shanai from Maloga Art to OHR. Shanai, the talented Indigenous artist behind our beautiful mural that tells OHR’s story through Aboriginal symbols, returned to share her knowledge and creativity with our students. Through her "Story Stones" workshops, students deepened their understanding of Indigenous culture by exploring traditional symbols, patterns, and the natural world. Using dot painting techniques, each student created their own personal story on a stone. These individual artworks will be placed together to form a winding channel within one of our garden beds, symbolising unity and connection. This whole-school project aims to nurture a strong sense of community and belonging among our students and their families.
