Wellbeing

Purpose    I    Positive Emotions    I   Relationships   I   Meaning    I    Accomplishment

As part of Hampton's whole school Wellbeing curriculum, the children will continue to consider and engage with our School Norms of Collaboration, Aspiration, Integrity and Resilience. We will be rolling out a whole school Behavioural Expectations approach and acknowledging students that showcase our school norms each week.

Throughout the term, we will focus on the topics of Positive Coping and Relationships. We will integrate tasks from The Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships Program and the Visible Wellbeing Framework.

During our unit on Positive Relationships, your children will:

  • explore strategies to make positive friendships
  • develop ways of building meaningful connections with others
  • take part in activities that build the values of kindness and gratitude
  • identify trusted adults in their life and discuss how these adults can help them in multiple situations

During our unit on Positive Coping, your children will:

  • practise strategies that help them deal with stressful situations
  • try out various relaxation techniques
  • build up their emotional regulations skills
