World Teachers’ Day

 Friday 31st October

Today we mark World Teachers’ Day! A special moment to honour the incredible educators who shape hearts and minds every day. Teaching is not for the faint-hearted; it calls for deep commitment, compassion, and a fierce belief in the power of learning to transform lives.

Today, i we pause to give thanks and offer prayer for the dedicated teachers of St Mary’s School, for their tireless work in educating, inspiring, and uplifting our students.

We also extend heartfelt gratitude to the teachers of St Mary’s, whose care and creativity continue to make a lasting impact:

  • For always placing children at the heart of every decision
  • For bringing joy and freshness to the learning journey
  • For listening deeply and helping students navigate their challenges
  • For believing in each child’s potential and cheering them on
  • For thoughtfully adapting learning to meet diverse needs
  • For the countless hours spent planning lessons and events beyond the school day
  • For their exceptional care during excursions, camps, and special experiences
  • For standing beside students at key milestones—Sacraments, class Masses, and graduation
  • For their spirit of collaboration and unwavering teamwork
  • For showing up to community events with enthusiasm and heart
  • For remaining hopeful and resilient, even in tough times
  • For nurturing strong, respectful partnerships with families

Gallery Image

Today, our students wore red in recognition of Day for Daniel, a national day dedicated to promoting child safety and awareness.

In class, students engaged in age-appropriate discussions and activities focused on the three key messages from the Daniel Morcombe Foundation:
