As part of our Personal Health curriculum , students in Y 3–6 will be engaging in lessons about Cyber Bullying and Online Safety. These lessons will focus on building the knowledge and skills students need to protect themselves when using digital technologies.
Students will learn about:
- Recognising different forms of cyber bullying
- How to respond safely and respectfully online
- Ways to seek help and support if they or others are experiencing online bullying
- Responsible digital citizenship and positive online behaviour
To further support this important learning, we will also be welcoming a representative from the Victorian Police in Week 4 who will speak with students about safe online practices and strategies to help them make good choices when using the internet and digital devices.
We believe this is an essential learning opportunity for our students as they navigate the challenges of today’s digital world.

LIBRARY NEWS
A reminder to parents that while your child borrows during their Italian lesson each week, they also have the opportunity to borrow each day, with the library open before school from 8:30-8:50. If your child finishes their book, discovers that the book they chose is too difficult or is not capturing their interest, please encourage them to visit the library and choose some new reading material. They do not need to wait until their next lesson.
A reminder that Year 2 and Year 5 have had changes to their LOTE/Library timetable for Term 4.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB
Issue 7 of Scholastic Book Club has been sent home. If you wish to order you can use the online tool - LOOP. Alternatively you can complete the order form in the catalogue and send it with money enclosed in a clearly marked envelope to the office.
A reminder to those who ordered from Issue 6 last term, if ordering to use your $5 credit. Those ordering from Issue 7 will also receive a $5 credit to spend with Issue 8. There are also some incentives when spending a certain total to receive up to 3 books free on the curent Issue. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ONLY WHEN ORDERING THROUGH THE LOOP ONLINE TOOL
Orders will be received up until Friday 31st October so they can be processed and delivered asap.
