Hi all

Term 4 has started full on as far as interschool sports is concerned.  On Thursday, we sent 26 students to the Kingston Division Athletics Carnival.  Thank you to Tanya, Sue, Sabina and the parents that attended the event and encouraged the kids.

Congratulations to Jagger, Alyssa, Lucy, Rhys, Jack V and Abigail for winning through to the South Metro Regional finals on Wednesday 22nd October.

Last Friday, St Louis proudly hosted the district Hot Shots Tennis competition—and what a day it was! After dedicated training sessions on Tuesday mornings throughout Term 3, our students’ hard work and commitment truly paid off.  We’re very proud to announce that both our girls and boys teams won their finals and will now advance to the Kingston Division Finals on Monday, 27th October.

A big thank you goes to Eva for her valuable support on the day. We’re also incredibly grateful to Trish from the St Louis Tennis Club. Every student at St Louis has had the opportunity to receive lessons through the club at some point during their time here. Trish’s passion for teaching and her continued support of our tennis program is deeply appreciated.

Our Rookie Rollers (lawn bowls) team will be playing in the South Metro Region finals on Friday 24th October.  Thank you to the Lawlor family for organising training at the Edithvale Bowls Club.

Next Tuesday, we are sending our Year 6 girls to the Little Saints Cup to play 9-a-side footy at the old St Kilda oval in Moorabbin.  We have a proud history at this event with two premierships and a runners up in the past three years.

Finally, this week in P.E. we dribbled soccer balls all over the oval from preps to Year 6s.  We learned how to do “slaps” as a warm up.  If you want a little fun at home, ask your child if they can show you.

Yours in Sport
