Principal's message

Thank you, Lord, for the blessings you have given all in our school community.

You have surrounded us with people who care for us and love us.  You have given us family and friends who bless us every day with kind words and actions. They lift us up in ways that keep us  focused on your love.

Thank you, Lord, for keeping us safe throughout the term. You  have helped guide us to make good choices.  We are  grateful for keeping those around us safe and loved.

Guide us to show our friends, family and teachers how much they matter to us. May we show them the same kindness they have given to us.

Thank you for all the opportunities that you have provided for all of us to learn and grow and to be the best we could be. May we never take for granted the gift of learning that you have blessed us with.

May we always be grateful for all the blessings in our life, and may we show acts of kindness to others so that they too may experience the blessings we enjoy.

Amen.

Dear Parents,

Our end of the term is quite timely as we have many children and staff who are unwell with a variety of bugs.  The weather has been very fresh in the mornings, however many of our days have been blessed with sunshine.  Let's hope the two weeks off gives us a chance to clear all the ailments out and be fresh and well to start the new term.

Wet Days at School

We have structured our wet days at school slightly differently this year  to maximise the time our children can be  outside under covered areas  and be dry and safe.   To help facilitate this we have purchased more indoor games etc which can be utilised in the hall area and classrooms.  In the outdoor spaces under the basketball court and the hall veranda  the children are able to play modified games.

Memorial Garden

Thanks to Sue Godde, past teacher and parent at St. Bernard's  who organised  our Sustainability team and Mrs. Symons for refreshing our  Memorial Garden.  The garden is a tribute to members of our school community who have passed away while they have been connected to our school.  Plaques on the granite rock near our front entrance name parents or children who have passed away.  We invite  families to remember their loved ones who have passed by having a plaque in their honour.

Staffing

We welcome Tristan D'Antonio to our teaching staff.

Tristan will work in the grade five and six area. Tristan began his teaching in Melbourne, then spent four years at Wangaratta West and this year has been working in Benalla.

We look forward to him being a part of our school community.

School Uniforms

Please remember to check that your children's clothes are clearly  named.

Our pile of lost property often overflows!

Last Day

This Friday is our last day of term, we finish at 2.20 pm to align with the bussing schedule.

Term 3 resumes on Monday 15th July .

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday time.
