NAIDOC Week Events in the Community

NAIDOC Week is celebrated nationally in the first week of July each year to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme is “Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud” and the week provides us with a wonderful opportunity to learn about First Nations culture and history. As a part of the Cardinia Network of Schools, we will be observing NAIDOC Week in the first week of Term 3 with a number of various activities organised. If you would like to get involved in events in the local community, please find attached information about upcoming activities for NAIDOC Week that are occurring during the school holidays at both the Pakenham Library and the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne.
