Linda from the Library Visited
Last week we had Linda visit us to read the story 'Bowerbird Blue'. Students then completed an activity where they were able to made a Bowerbird's nest filled with lots of blue items.
World Environment Day - Poem Workshop
To celebrate World Environment Day, 3/4's participated in a virtual poem workshop about nature. As part of the workshop, students will have the chance to submit their poem to go in the running for some amazing prizes but more importantly, for every poem submitted, a native tree will be planted. We will continue to look at poems over the last couple of weeks of term and hopefully have every 3/4 student submit a poem!
3/4 Winter Sports
Yesterday we visited Kyabram P-12 College for 3/4 Winter Sports. We had loads of fun playing Backboard Dodgeball, Capture The Flag, Bootball, Sideline Basketball, Hunger Games, Gaga Ball, Spike Ball, Downball and Pony Express. We are super proud of our students and the way they represented our school. They displayed great sportsmanship but they also stepped out of their comfort zones by meeting new friends and trying new activities. Well done 3/4's!
We also spotted Mr Alley, which we were all very excited about!
Maths
Students have been practising acquiring data by using a question to ask a particular group of students, then recording the data using tally charts, graphing the results and discussing what they observed with their data.
