Principal's News
Dear families,
We are looking forward to welcoming many of you to our Term 3 event on Friday. Following on from the success of the Mother’s Day Morning Tea we are busy preparing for a Father’s Day Lunch which will follow on from the Book Character Parade at 11 am. Please return the slip if you are able to attend to allow for the school and P & C to ensure we cater correctly. Don’t forget your picnic blanket for what we know will be a great day.
I am sure that many of you have noticed the new sculptures that are currently sitting in our school. We have been very lucky to have this equipment donated to the school from the Giorgi family and are working with our assets team to find the quickest and safest way to assemble this on school grounds so that all our students can become champion climbers. We have also reached out to the local high schools but would love to know if we have any installations experts in the community that could help guide us with this. Year 6 have been working with Joe in the first phase and they are keen for the rebuilding to be part of the legacy they leave the school when they move to their next adventures.
Last week Harriet represented the school in state skiing. Although her competition was cut short due to dangerous weather I would like to congratulate her on behalf of the school for her amazing efforts this year. I would also like to wish our school team of Dante, Taya, Benji and Larna all the best as they head to Albury on September 6 to represent the school at the Riverina Athletics Carnival.
Miss Grigg has had some amazing entries brought in for the competition that allows them to participate in the free excursion to Albury Waste Management Centre. Some of the entries are so brilliant that they can also be entered in the Leeton Show.
See you all on Friday, I will be the witch wandering around.
Thank you
Mrs Taylor
