In the Classroom -

As you will undoubtedly be aware, the fantastic Mr Wickham has been in absentia over the past three weeks due to the birth of his baby girl. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Wickham and enjoy the remainder of your Paternity Leave.

In this time, the Foundation, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students have been diligently working on their kicking skills, first on short and long passing using soccer balls and more recently (this week) progressing to punting with Australian Rules footballs. Their energy and keen attitude to learning these skills has been admirable! Well done F-2 students.

Next term, the Grade 3-6 students will have House Athletics to look forward to. As such, the students in this cohort have been learning and practising the skills involved in Long Jump, Shot put, Discus, Hurdles and Sprinting. It's always a pleasure to watch students in this age group realise their ability at these events. I'm sure they will have a terrific time at Athletics!

We are all awaiting your return in Week 2 of Term 3 Mr Wickam! Meanwhile, it has been a pleasure teaching all your children.

Regards,

Mr Parkins
