Police Presentation

Students were enthralled in Senior Constable Andrew Downes' presentations last week. Constable Downes spoke to Year 7-10s about the various topics of discrimination, drug/alcohol, sexual relation offences and provided students important information about the law, suitable to their life period. The response from students throughout the afternoon was fantastic. Students showcased their respectful behaviours and actively participated in the presentations. Some students shared that they loved Constable Downes' delivery style and "the way he made information interesting" and accessible to them. Students explained that they were able to relate to the information shared and understood the laws better now.

Miss Nicholls would like to thank students for displaying their best selves while listening to Constable Downes and for being such an active and enthusiastic audience that engaged with Constable Downes in respectful and thoughtful ways.

Broader Horizons

Year 9 students headed off last Wednesday to their selected industry to hear experts in the field share stories and insightful information about their (and others) particular area in that industry.

Miss Nicholls would like to say a HUGE "thank you" to parents and guardians for getting their work experience forms returned so quickly and for being so supportive of the Charlton College rolling out different programs to engage students in discussing and considering their career pathways. It is with the support of families that the school can make these things happen. Thank you to all parents/guardians for your ongoing support!
