Lab Report

This week in Science we have finished a few more Portfolio tasks. 

The Year 3 students have completed their Nature Journals, and it’s been amazing to see the range of different directions students have taken with their entries. 

The Year 5 students have continued work on their closed terrariums, writing a report to go with their plant in a bottle. The water cycle within the container sustains the plant, meaning as long as your closed terrarium is not in direct sunlight, they need very little care and attention after creation! For any parents with students keen to continue with larger scale projects, the YouTube channel Serpa Designs has a lot of different ideas.

Foundation students have completed their first Portfolio piece, labelling as many parts of the human body as they could. It was a very impressive feat for students who have only been at school for such a short time!

Movie recommendation for the week - this movie was a Dad’s uplifting journey looking at the ways people are trying to regenerate our planet to improve the world his daughter will inherit.
