VOCABULARY

Modality: Indicates an author’s feelings towards a topic. Eg: certainly, maybe, definitely.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to use a persuasive text not from your satchels (eg. newspaper article) and make a list of all the modality words they find. If they can’t find a persuasive article then your child can try using their booklet.
