Hope you had a lovely week. It was great to see so many families at Mass on Wednesday. 

School Closure Day

Our first school closure day for 2024 will be Tuesday 12th March. On this day our staff will be undertaking an exploration of how effective feedback can enhance student learning, reflection and growth. Facilitated by Kate Korber from 'The Inquiry Project' we will undertake deep dive into professional learning that unpacks:

             The research of effective feedback and its impact on student learning

             The characteristics of quality feedback  

             The effective use of teacher and peer feedback and self assessment.      

At Sacred Heart Primary, our school improvement goals include:

           -  To foster student empowerment and engagement in their learning

            - To embed evidence and research-based pedagogical practices: Specifically to ensure                  that feedback is utilised to develop pedagogical practices

We look forward to a productive day of learning and discussion to enhance the way we embed these practices for the learning growth of our children. 

2024 NAPLAN

In recent weeks our Year 3 and Year 5 students have been actively refining their skills in preparation for the upcoming NAPLAN assessments. Our teachers have provided guidance, preparing students for what to expect and how to complete the tests on a digital platform.

The NAPLAN schedule is as follows:

          Wednesday 13th March:     Writing

           Thursday 14th March:       Reading

           Friday 15th March:             Conventions of Language

           Monday 18th March:          Numeracy
