St Vincent de Paul are looking for Volunteers to join the local Guyra team! There will be an information session at 10:00am on Monday the 11th of March at the Neighbourhood Centre located at 160 Bradley Street, Guyra for anyone interested.
Autumn Piano School
17 – 21 April 2024
Piano+ and the New England Conservatorium of Music invite you and your students to the inaugural Autumn Piano School. A five-day musical journey in breathtaking, beautiful Armidale designed for every level of piano player, from Beginner to Advanced, Junior to Adult.
If you’re a studio piano teacher or a music student interested in developing a studio practice, immerse yourself in the pedagogy steam. Learn from outstanding Australian pianists, piano pedagogues and music educators, while connecting with colleagues to share teaching experiences and tips.
• teaching beginner, junior, intermediate and advanced students,• teaching children with learning difficulties.• how to inspire and motivate your students.• exploring Australian repertoire, and• guiding students to develop healthy technique.
Half day pedagogy and full course opportunities are offered to suit busy lives and budgets.
For the young pianist and budding maestro, the Beginner and Junior streams are the perfect learning environment to nurture the early appreciation of playing the piano and creating shared experiences. The Beginner Stream welcomes primary-school aged students who have had less than three years of formal piano lessons. The Junior Stream is designed for children and young teenagers who are working at AMEB Preliminary to Grade 4 level (or equivalent). Parents and guardians are welcome to join and listen to any of their children’s classes further sharing the world of piano education for all.

Family Connect and Support
Family Connect and Support is a FREE and voluntary referral service that links families caring for children aged 0-17 with local support services and community resources.
We have Practitioners who are ready to work with Families in the Armidale, Guyra, Uralla and Walcha area’s immediately and making a referral is easy!
Families can self-refer by calling 1300 006 480 or by popping into the office located at 24 Moore Street Armidale.
FCS provides services across New England and has practitioners based in Inverell, Moree, Tenterfield, Armidale and Tamworth who provide outreach to surrounding communities.
