A Snapshot of Learning by Grade 5 

On Thursday 7th March, the Year 5 students had the opportunity to visit Nazareth Secondary College for a ‘Taster Day’. The activities provided by Nazareth College were Art, Italian, STEM, Food Tech, Physical Education and Wood Tech. The students participated in three of these activities. They were able to make a variety of items including Carnivale Masks in Italian, Pencil Caddies in Wood Tech, and Rum Balls in Food Tech. They experimented with creating name badges to be printed in 3D in STEM, played different games in P.E. and created some fabulous work in Art. 

These lessons provided our students with the opportunity to gain an insight into Secondary School life as each session was led by a teacher from Nazareth College. It was great to see the enthusiasm and respect with which our students participated on the day.
