SSV Tennis Competition!

Last Friday, three Year 6 students from Chilwell competed in our district tennis competition. These students included Elsa G, Max S and Kyle D. Here is a little excerpt into what evolved from their perspective:

We all arrived at Western Heights T.C. to play tennis while representing Chilwell Primary School. When we started it was already hot and we were very nervous. The first game went well for all of us.

Max lost 4/3, Kyle won 4/1 and Elsa won 4/0. We all had some great shots and thought we started reasonably well considering Max lost a very close game. The second game actually went well for all of us as we won all of our games!

The third round was the semi-finals, and it was a Chilwell double-header: Max vs. Kyle! Max found his game and won 4/0. It was a great spectacle! Elsa won her semi-final game 4/0 too! Therefore, Max and Elsa are into the next round which is divisions.

We all played such great tennis and were very proud to represent our school at district level. We wish Max and Elsa all the very best in their next games!
