Future Makers

Good luck to our Year 9 students who are currently involved with the Future Makers program. This program provides considerable support to Year 9 students as they prepare to tackle the senior parts of schools. Throughout the 2 weeks students will work together to explore their strengths and take control of their individual challenges. Thank you to all staff who are guiding our students as they take on this important journey.

Kindness

As we continue to explicitly teach our school values, we focus our attention on the value of kindness. Kindness is powerful and can positively impact our school community and the people we interact with. In support of the schools work we encourage your child to actively practice kindness by finding opportunities to express gratitude, lend a helping hand, or simply offer a friendly smile to their peers or teachers. We remind them that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's day.

As a family at home, please discuss the importance of empathy and understanding, and explore ways to incorporate kindness into daily routines. Together, let's create a culture of compassion and consideration that will not only enrich our school environment but also contribute to creating responsible and caring young individuals.

School Planners

Each student has been provided with a school planner. These planners assist students to navigate the school community. Some examples of how to use the planner:

  1. Record upcoming events – this will assist with early communication with teachers.
  2. Out of class pass – if students need to leave class they will need their planner signed by the supervising teacher.
  3. Notes from parents – the planner allows parents to communicate with the school about uniform, PE/Sport or any other student issues.
  4. Timetable – students should have recorded their timetable for ease of access.

School Day

A reminder to students and parents/guardians that the school day commences at 9:00am with the warning music beginning at 8:55am. It is important that all students arrive at school and are at Home Group for roll marking by 9:00am.

The bell for the completion of the school day will go at 3:20pm, students are required to remain at school throughout the school day. For students needing to leave the school grounds throughout the school day need the written permission from parents, this then needs to be communicated to the school office.
