Book Week at Holy Family
We are very excited to be celebrating Book Week this year at Holy Family. Book Week is a celebration of books and literature facilitated by the Children's Book Council of Australia.
At Holy Family we are celebrating Book Week in Week Four (11th - 15th of August)
During this week the main events will be taking place on Wednesday 13th August
9:30am- Performance by Meerkat Productions for all students K-6
11:30am - Book Parade, Book Trivia and Staff Performance
Students are invited to dress up as their favourite book character for the day. We areasking students to ensure that they have read and can discuss the character/book.
Students have been asked to "Re-use and Recycle" items from home for their dress ups. Parents are not required to buy an outfit for the Book Parade.
Covered shoes must be worn with costumes
Some students have expressed that they do not wish or like to dress up. This is absolutely fine, and these students have been asked to write a short story for Mrs Edwards with themselves as the character if they would like to wear their school uniform on the day.
Parents are invited to attend the Book Parade/Book Trivia and Staff Performance
It will be held in the Parish Hall at 11:30am on this date.
Parents are also invited to dress up and join in the fun!
