Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,
What an amazing week we’ve had at Holy Family!
We were thrilled to host the SPARK Art Day, welcoming high-performing Stage One students from five North Shore schools. The day was a celebration of creativity, learning and collaboration. It was truly a joy to see our young artists engaged in their work. A sincere thank you to Mrs Dickinson and Mrs Overton for their outstanding organisation and dedication in making the day such a success.
Our Open Day was another highlight, with many new families visiting our school. We are so very proud of our Year 6 students, whose leadership and hospitality were greatly appreciated as they guided families throughout the school. A huge thank you to Di, Mita and Seiichi who gave their time so generously to answer the many questions.
We also celebrated the Holy Family Public Speaking Competition, which showcased the incredible talent and courage of our students. With 13 finalists across Stage One, Stage Two, and Stage Three, the event was a reminder of the importance of student voice and expression. Congratulations to all participants—you were amazing!
We finished the week with a very special Mass to celebrate St Mary of the Cross, a time of reflection and spiritual connection for our community. Sincere thanks to Father Thomas for sharing his wisdom and presence, and to Mrs Dalle-Nogare, Mrs Stella, and our wonderful Year Three students for their thoughtful preparation and reverent participation.
Thank you to our staff, students, and families for your continued support and involvement.
Art Show & Fair
After careful consideration, we have made the decision not to run the Lindfield Art Show this year. This was not an easy choice, but due to a number of factors—including limited resources—we believe it is the most sustainable path forward.
That said, we are incredibly excited to begin planning for a very special milestone: the 50th Lindfield Art Show in 2026! This will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich history of creativity and community that the Lindfield Art Show represents.
To help bring this vision to life, we are now seeking Expressions of Interest from parents and carers who would like to be part of the 50th Anniversary Art Show Committee. If you are interested in joining this dynamic and creative team, please email the school office on hfl@dbb.org.au.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. We look forward to creating something truly memorable together.
Kindest regards,
Pauline Dinale
Principal
