From the Director of Junior School

Mrs Melissa Thirgood

Welcome to Term 3 | Focusing on Responsibility

We extend a warm welcome to all our Junior School families as we begin another exciting and eventful Term 3. This fortnight, we are focusing on one of our core values – Responsibility – and exploring what it looks like in our daily lives.

Whether it's feeding a pet, owning our actions when we make poor choices, or behaving respectfully online, responsibility plays a vital role in helping our students grow into thoughtful and capable young people.

This week, our Kinder to Year 6 students are participating in ThinkUKnow sessions presented by the Australian Federal Police. These sessions focus on online safety and align strongly with our value of responsibility. They help students understand how to stay safe online and take ownership of their behaviour when interacting with others in digital spaces.

We encourage all families to continue this important conversation at home. Please take time to regularly check the apps and websites your children are using and stay informed about their interactions on platforms such as Kids Messenger. Together, we can help our children become safe, respectful and responsible digital citizens.

Mobile phones in the Junior School

A reminder that students are not to use their phones upon arriving at school in the morning. Phones must be handed in to their class teacher at the beginning of the day and will be returned at the conclusion of the school day.
