Bullying No Way Week
Proudly Supporting Bullying No Way: National Week of Action
Trafalgar Primary School is proud to be taking part in Bullying No Way: National Week of Action, running from 11–15 August 2025.
This nationwide initiative brings together thousands of schools and communities to take a united stand against bullying. It’s a chance for us to reinforce our commitment to creating a safe and respectful school environment, and to work together on meaningful solutions to prevent bullying.
This year’s theme is Be Bold. Be Kind. Speak Up.
It’s a powerful reminder that it takes courage and community to address bullying behaviours—both within and beyond the school gate.
Throughout the week, students will engage in activities and discussions that build empathy, understanding, and respect for others. We encourage families to use this as a starting point for open conversations at home about bullying—what it looks like, how it affects people, and what children can do if they need help or see it happening.
You can visit the Bullying No Way website for tips and resources to support these important conversations. You can also read our Bullying Prevention Policy to learn more about how Trafalgar Primary School prevents and responds to bullying.
To wrap up the week, students are invited to wear purple on Friday 15 August—the official Bullying No Way hero colour, representing peace, strength, and the power to stand up for what’s right.

100 Days of School
We would like to congratulate our Foundation Students on achieving their first 100 days of schooling last Friday. We hope you enjoy the goody bags we put together for you. Thanks to EdComp IT Services, Say It Sweet Patisserie, Bendigo Bank Trafalgar and McDonald's Moe for their contributions so that our youngest pupils can celebrate by enjoying a few treats.
Well done to the parents who helped find costumes and put together a lunch spread for students, and also to Daryl for putting our "100 Days" banner up to make students feel extra special. Lastly, a big thank you goes to the wonderful foundation team for arranging special activities throughout the day. If any students missed out on a goody bag due to absence, the foundation teachers will keep theirs aside for when they return to school.
Arts Centre Buses
We would like to report on how we are using funds raised from our events, so that students and their families can see where their contributions are utilised. P&F funded the school's bus hire, which allowed students to travel to and from the West Gippsland Arts Centre and Bunjil Place Arts Centre, for their recent excursions to see Josephine Wants to Dance and Ratburger without any additional cost to families. We hope that students enjoyed the bus rides, had a great day out with their classmates, and found the shows entertaining.
Thank you to Warragul Bus Lines for helping our students complete their excursions safely last term.
Call for Helpers
We are seeking expressions of interest from parents and carers to help with our Father's Day stalls towards the end of Term 3, with the main session on Thursday 4th and a shorter session across recess on Friday 5th September.
