From the Principal

Dear Parents,
Confirmation
It is a very exciting week for our Confirmation candidates as they finalise preparations for their Confirmation at St Patrick's Cathedral on Friday evening at 6pm.
Last week we had our Confirmation Family Evening and candidate Reflection Day. Please visit the Confirmation page of this newsletter to see photos and other details of those events and the forthcoming Confirmation evening.
As Friday's Confirmation Evening is at the Cathedral, those attending are encouraged to give themselves extra time to allow for any traffic congestion. Please be aware there is limited street parking in the area around the Cathedral.
I would like to acknowledge the wonderful work of our Religious Education Leader, Maria Mangone, who has prepared and coordinated many aspects of the Confirmation journey for our candidates and their families. Likewise we acknowledge the support of our Year 5/6 teachers, Silvia DeFillipis and Kel Giblett. Likewise, we appreciate the coordinated approach with our colleagues from the Parish, Mary Tan and Emmaus Junior School, Jenny Kilkenny. Join our school community to keep these candidates in your thoughts and prayers for their special Confirmation day.
Book Week Reminder:
The Book Week Parade is coming up this Friday, August 29th. We are meeting in the Hall on Friday morning from 9.15am and all are welcome to attend to see the colourful array of characters that will be on display.
This year's theme is "Book an Adventure". We can’t wait to see all the amazing outfits!
Father's Day Stall:
Thank you to our Parents Association who will be hosting a Father's Day Stall at school on Tuesday 2nd September. Children are invited to bring along some money to buy a gift for their Dad, Grandpa or special person.
