Velveteen Rabbit

On Wednesday 13th August our Year 6 students will visit COPACC to watch the show ‘The Velveteen Rabbit”, by Born Taxi.  Students will travel to COPACC by bus. The bus will leave Sacred Heart at 9:15am and return at approximately 11:00am.

Set within a film shoot, layered with live projections, Physical Theatre Company ‘Born in a Taxi’ thoughtfully and hilariously reimagines this 100-year-old children’s story by Margery Williams. Velveteen Rabbit is about a toy rabbit who becomes real…but how did it happen? In the hands of Born in a Taxi, the story is infused with dynamic audience participation, live and recorded music with live stream video and projections layered into the work that plays with multiple scales that reflect the perspective of a child. Playful, visual and poetic.

Trinity Production “Fame”

On Wednesday 13th August our Year 5 and 6 students have been lucky enough to be invited by Trinity College to watch their production “Fame”. The show will start at 11:00am and finish at approximately 2:00pm. Students will need to take a packed lunch to Trinity to eat during the intermission.

Our Year 5 students will walk to Trinity and our Year 6 students will be bused from COPACC to see the show (Unfortunately it is the same day as the Velveteen Rabbit).

We are very grateful to Trinity for their initiation. It will be a very exciting show!
