Werribee Zoo Excursion

Last term, our Year 2 students had a fabulous day at Werribee Zoo, with beautiful sunny weather making the experience even more enjoyable. During the excursion, students became “Wild Scientists” as they explored the natural world in an exciting outdoor setting. Through hands-on inquiry, they learned what makes animals special by investigating their features and basic needs. On the Safari Tour, they saw incredible animals such as the endangered Asian Wild Horse, majestic giraffes, bison, antelope, rhinos, zebras, and ostriches. The program helped students understand how to respect and care for animals, the importance of food, water, and shelter for survival, and how animals grow and change. It was a wonderful learning adventure that inspired our young scientists to think about creating a better world for all living things.

Musical Soiree

Our Soiree was a wonderful success, showcasing the talents and hard work of all students. Families and friends filled the hall with excitement and pride as children confidently performed a variety of musical pieces. The evening flowed smoothly, with each performance celebrated by enthusiastic applause. Year 3 students performed their string pieces for the audience, proudly showcasing the skills

and progress they have developed through the classroom string program..

The warm, supportive atmosphere made the event feel like a true celebration of the

school community, leaving everyone with smiles and a strong sense of achievement.

Snakes Alive!

Grade 5 students took part in an exciting reptile incursion at the end of last term where they had the opportunity to get up close and personal with some amazing Australian reptiles. They learnt about the special adaptations that help these reptiles survive in the wild, such as camouflage, thick scales, and how they regulate their body temperature. The highlight for many students was being able to touch or even hold some of the reptiles. It was a fun and educational experience that brought our learning about animal adaptations to life!
