Upcoming Parent Webinar – AI Deepfakes & Misinformation: What Every Parent Should Know

By Roland Lewis

We’re pleased to share details of the next Tech Safe Parents webinar, part of our ongoing partnership with the Cyber Safety Project. At Glen Waverley Primary School, we recognise that raising children in a digital age presents new and complex challenges for families. This webinar series is one of the ways we support our school community to build confidence, knowledge and shared strategies for navigating online spaces safely. By working together, we can help our children become digitally aware, emotionally safe and responsible online citizens.

What will you learn?

This session, “AI Deepfakes & Misinformation: Understanding AI’s Impact on Your Kids,” will explore the growing influence of artificial intelligence on young people’s digital experiences. From manipulated images and videos to AI-generated content that blurs the line between real and fake, this is a vital conversation for families navigating the next frontier of online safety.

The session will help you:

  • Understand how deepfakes and misinformation spread online
  • Recognise the potential risks and benefits of AI tools
  • Support your child to question, analyse, and respond critically to online content
  • Build digital literacy and resilience in an age of rapid technological change
