Exciting start to Term 3 in 3/4B!

Literacy

We have loved starting to learn about our new topic of History this term. Specifically we are delving deeper into community, remembrance and celebrations from around the world. Check out our ‘compare and contrast’ venn diagrams between two celebrations we already know about and also our poster about a new celebration. For both of these tasks we worked in small groups taking turns and developing our collaboration skills.

We have also continued to focus on our reading fluency, and love practicing this with our fluency pairs a few times per week.

Numeracy

In Numeracy, we have started off this term learning about Multiplication and Division. We have been learning how to use visual representations (MAB drawings) to represent multiplication and division problems. We have then discussed how this links to the strategy of long multiplication and division and how regrouping works.

Religion

During our celebrations for St John Vianney's Feast day we loved participating in Kaboom Sports, and learning some information about St John Vianney’s.
