Head of Year 9 smcqueen1@cns.catholic.edu.au
Thank you to the many families who attended the Subject Expo. It was an excellent opportunity for students and parents/carers to speak directly with Heads of Department and gather useful information about Year 10 subject selections for 2026.
For those who were unable to attend, the 2026 Subject Selection Handbook is available on the College website, or feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
This week’s SEL session will focus on student reflection following the release of Semester 1 Report Cards. Students will be encouraged to celebrate their achievements while thoughtfully considering areas for improvement. Discussions will include behaviour and effort in lessons, as well as goal-setting for Semester 2. Attendance will also be a key focus. Regular school attendance is vital, as missed days can lead to gaps in learning that may be difficult to bridge. We aim to support students in recognising the importance of consistency and commitment to their education.
