Grade 1 & 2 

This has been a great week for the Grade One and Two students. It began with Grandparents and Special Persons Day and they had some very memorable moments.

They have also had a big focus on the Summer Olympic Games. Throughout Literacy, they discovered the history of the games and what certain aspects mean, including the symbol with the 5 rings and the Olympic motto. The children made up their own teams - with their team names, uniform, sport and flag. Then we had a mini Olympics and competed in several events. This was a fun afternoon but still had to show the Olympic spirit with great sportsmanship and teamwork, which they did wonderfully.
