Integrity

One of our school values is integrity.

A person of integrity is often referred to one who is honest and committed to what is right and just.

We have been speaking at school about walking with integrity, and in the Primary School, how acts of kindness demonstrate this core value.

To walk with integrity; we must have knowledge of our shared values and have a deep understanding of what is right. We also need to be consistent in our actions - the seen and unseen.

Integrity at GSG looks like:

  • Everyone buying into our values of respect, integrity, compassion and commitment.
  • Everyone seeking what is right and what is just.
  • Everyone being inclusive and ensuring everyone is welcome here.
  • Everyone listening and demonstrating enormous empathy and seeking to understand what it is like to walk in another’ shoes.
  • Everyone showing up and giving their best.
  • Everyone understanding that we live a life of privilege and are called to serve others.
  • Everyone keeping each other accountable.
  • And most of all, everyone is consistent.

May we walk in integrity in all we do and say.

Education Assistants

This week is Australian Teacher Aide Appreciation Week. A great time to celebrate the wonderful work Education Assistants do in and out of the classroom with our students. Our staff support our students to be their best in all aspects of learning and wellbeing.

Education Assistants have a significant positive impact and as are learning community, we are most grateful.

Staffing news

I like to share with the community that Head of Eclipse, Mr Taylor Colton and his partner Ms Carter Wight have tendered their resignations effective at the end of the school year. Taylor and Carter are relocating to the USA to follow their professional paths and be close to family and friends.

Their service to our school has been extraordinary and there will be an opportunity to celebrate their time at GSG at the end of the year.
