Congratulations Year Sixes!        

Congratulations to all involved in the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday August 18th.

Our Parish community was inspired by the words and leadership of the Vicar General Tony Kerin at the celebration of the Sacrament. His words resonated with the students particularly in his homily as he referred to the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit as the talents they demonstrate throughout their daily lives. We pray that our Year 6 students have become more discerning about what their gifts are as they continue to use these to help and serve others. 

We give thanks to parents, teachers, sponsors and Father Vinh who have been an important part of the Year 6 students' journey and preparation for this sacrament.

Father’s Day Prayer

God our Father, 

We give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old. 

We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their vocation; May they find courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice.

We pray for Fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; May they know that the God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow. 

We pray for men who are not fathers but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and advice.

We remember fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love.
