Principal's Report

Thank you to all our families for supporting this year's book week through your organisation of costumes and attendance at our annual parade. Over the years we have seen some amazing costumes, and this year was no exception! As one of the much loved days of the annual calendar, we love to see the excitement of our children in dressing as their favourite characters, and that joy was certainly evident in today's parade. (Please see Classroom News for lots of great photos!)
A big thank you also for your support of our Book Sale, which helps us to raise funds to buy new books for our library.
If you didn't get a chance to attend yesterday, the sale will be open again this afternoon between 3.30 - 4.00pm.
Has anyone seen Wally?
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Nicole and staff for their organisation of the Book Week activities. The students all had a great day participating in the various activities and delving deeper into the world of books and their authors!
Yesterday, our Year 3/4 students enjoyed another great day of cross country skiing, with some students reporting it was their best day ever! Many thanks again to everyone involved in making this such a positive experience for our students.
Tomorrow, Years 5/6 going will have their second day of downhill skiing. Many thanks to all our parent volunteers and to all participating staff, for their support.
While the Year 5/6 are skiing, students in Year 4/5 will be stepping up to host our Friday assembly. Tomorrow, students in Prep/1 will be presenting.
Next Tuesday, students will have another chance to dress up, this time to support our local Red Cross. Students are encouraged to show their support to our Red Cross Volunteers by 'Wearing Red for Red Cross'. They are also asked to please bring a gold coin donation, which will be used to support the work Red Cross does in our local community.
The annual Parent/Carer Opinion survey is now open for all families to complete. Please assist our planning, by responding to this survey, which is being offered by the Department of Education. The survey is open until Friday 30th August. Please refer to the Compass notification that was sent home yesterday, for further information on how to complete the survey.
If you haven't already done so, please ensure consent and payment for the snow programs and camps are completed asap, on Compass. If you require a payment plan for any of the above, please contact Joy, in the office.
The ski room will be open every Friday during Term 3 from 3.30-4.30 for weekend ski hire ($33 per set).
