Hello Everyone,

 

Sun Smart

It is ‘No Hat, No Play’ time again. 

Due to the effects UV (Ultra Violet) can have on our skin, all Government Primary schools have a ‘No Hat, No Play’ policy to protect our students. 

Let’s refresh our understanding around UV radiation from the sun. 

Here is some information our JSC in 2023 gathered from a Radiation Scientist:

 

 

Pride and Integrity Raffle 

This raffle, recognizes all of the students who are attending school on time.    This is to acknowledge the students demonstrating Pride and Integrity by being ready to learn each day.

Every student who is at school, and in their classroom, before the bell (9am) will have their name added to the class attendance box. So, if they are present on time, every day of the week, they will have 5 entries into the raffle. 

 

Last week’s class winners were: 

FA – Nethran, FB – Aekam, 1A – Hunter, 1B – Saanjh, 2A – Santos, 2B – Faneend, 2C – Joseph, 3A – Joseph, 3B – Harper, 4A – Amar-Od, 4B – Leron, 4C – Eva, 5A – Caleb, 5B – Ryan, 5C – Xavier, 6A – Elia, 6B – Najeeb, 6C – Daisha.

 

The raffle winner was Caleb from 5A! Congratulations! 

Caleb received 15 PACs for Pride & Integrity

 

2024 Term 3 Challenge of the Week

 ‘How many words can you make from these letters:’

The aim is to collaborate with 1 -3 friends or family members (no more than 4 people per entry) to make as many words of 3 letters or more from a given lot of letters, as well as trying to find a word that uses the most of the letters as possible. 

For example, if the letters are P, F, H, U, E, L, L you can make the words: help, full, elf, pull, fuel, helpful.

 

Last week’s letters were: I. C, M, T, I, S, O, T, P, I

The word using all of the letters is optimistic.

Some of the words you could make are: pit, pits, tip, tips, spit, pot, pots, post, top, tops, stop, sit, cot, cots, cost, mist, optic, optimist, cop, cops, sip, most, stomp 

 

Students collaborating for week 7’s Challenge earnt a PAC each.

Please hand your answers to the office before 3.30pm on Wednesday 11th September.
