In Term 2, all Stage 1 classes have been involved in gymnastics lessons once a week led by an instructor from ZING ACTIV. This is an external program that involves students rotating through a range of gymnastic activities such as balance beams, trampolines and parallel bars. Each lesson has been a fun and engaging way to improve coordination, flexibility, strength and balance. Students have also been learning the correct techniques to land safely and can definitely show you what a good “motorbike” landing looks like!

Throughout Semester 1, all Stage 1 classes also worked hard on earning token rewards to fill their class cylinders (Values Token System). In order to earn tokens, students need to demonstrate the school values of: We are safe, We are respectful and We are active learners. As a cohort, Stage 1 was able to proudly fill up the combined large cylinder located in the front office in order to achieve a whole stage reward. As a result, students voted for an extra sport session to celebrate their achievements and were able to enjoy playing a variety of sport games with their friends. Well done Stage 1 and we hope you keep it up for the remainder of the year.
