General Information
Welcome to Mrs Sibel Mihmat!
Hello, my name is Mrs Sibel Mihmat and I am excited to have recently joined the Clovelly Park Primary School community, teaching the year 5/6's in Class Y7.
I have worked at a number of schools, and I really enjoy teaching the older primary students.
I have 2 wonderful children, and our family is of Turkish culture and heritage. I welcome all communications, questions and feedback from parents regarding their children as I believe we are on a shared journey toward your child's education. I look forward to getting to know all of the students, families and staff and contributing to the vibrant and inclusive learning environment that our school is known for.
Congratulations Yuna!
We are proud to share that our year 5 student Yuna (Eightrielle) from Y7, has had her beautiful artwork selected as one of the inspirations for an upcoming exhibition at the Australian Museum in Sydney. The exhibition titled "The Fantastical Sharks and Rays", aims to raise awareness about endangered sharks and rays in Australia. Yuna will be receiving a certificate in recognition of her achievement. Well done, Yuna!

Indonesian Independence Day
On Tuesday, 13 August, we celebrated Indonesian Independence Day at the school. The day began with a video presentation with several students sharing information about Indonesian Independence Day, a video from our partner school, Al Syukro Universal Elementary school showing how they celebrate Independence Day, and a greeting from Bu Ani, a teacher at Al Syukro, who visited us last year. Students spent the morning engaging in crafts and games from Indonesia. In the afternoon the whole school went out to the oval to fly kites that students had made in their classes. It was great fun! Many students also enjoyed a special lunch order of Indonesian food and the staff were treated to a special meal of Nasi Tumpeng and Es Cendol made by our Indonesian parent community. Many thanks to the Indonesian parents for their generosity and to all the families who came and shared in the kite flying with us.
