Book Week
Last week, St. Brendan’s Primary School was abuzz with excitement as we celebrated CBCA Book Week with the enchanting theme, "Reading is Magic." Our students had a fantastic time exploring the magic of books, and it was truly heartwarming to see our library filled with families coming together to enjoy reading with their children.
One of the highlights of the week was the much-anticipated Book Week Parade. We were delighted to be greeted by the iconic Mary Poppins, who charmingly described our day as "practically perfect in every way." The parade was a wonderful showcase of creativity and imagination, with students and staff dressed in a fabulous array of costumes inspired by their favorite literary characters.
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff for organising a range of engaging activities throughout the week. Your efforts made the celebration memorable and fun for everyone involved. We also extend our gratitude to the families for their enthusiastic participation, especially in helping students prepare their costumes for the parade.
It was a magical week that truly highlighted the joy of reading and the strong sense of community at St. Brendan’s. Here’s to many more celebrations of the magic found in books!
