Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Families Survey
An electronic survey was sent via email last term to follow up on some of the questions that were raised on our pizza meet and greet last term. Thank you to the families who were able to complete this online. The survey was sent out in paper form 2 weeks ago. If you are able to complete the survey and return it, we are very interested in getting the whole community’s opinions.
Supporting First Nations Students in Maths – Friday 9th August
Last Friday, 9th August, several First Nations Families attended the Maths session in the Penney Conference Room. Some of our learners demonstrated maths games that they use in their classrooms. Fiona Dealtry, our Maths Coordinator, spoke about the school’s Big Ideas in Number focus and the strategies used in maths. It was great to start some conversations about making our Maths program more culturally relevant. We look forward to arranging other family events.
