Dear Parents and Carers,
Kindness Corner
Congratulations to Bailey Garden for receiving my Kindness award for this week. Bailey is extremely helpful to the younger students in our school. Each day he willingly assists them to pack up play equipment. Thank you Bailey; you are a wonderful role model in our school.
Brain Olympia
Yesterday we had our school Brain Olympia Competition for students in Years 4-6. The students were grouped into 4 teams and throughout the day they completed general knowledge questions, solved tricky Mathematics problems, presented a speech on the topic City Versus Country Living and then entertained all present with interesting drama skits on the topic ‘The Best Day Ever’.
Congratulations to all students on your enthusiastic participation and well done to our winning team the Mega Minds: Rosie, Ricky, Babesh, Kendall, Brax, James & Reuben. I would also like to make special mention of the 4 students who confidently presented a speech on behalf of their team: Rosie, Jorja, Sienna & Billie. Well done!
From this event we chose 8 students to represent our school at the next level of Brain Olympia to be held in Tamworth on Wednesday 28th August. Congratulations to Rosie, Ricky, Jorja, Alex, Billie, Dani, Oliver & Kendall. Mrs Bartholomew and Mrs Cortis will supervise our team on this day.
Updated Annual School Survey
Next Monday 26th August you will receive an email from Survey My School. The survey questions have been updated and there are fewer questions this year. I encourage all families to participate, as your input is important to our school planning. We use the results to strive to provide the best possible education for your children.
Have a wonderful week
