Term 2 Sport Recap

State Cross Country 

A massive congratulations to Java Lauterboom (Year 7) and Miley Warde (Year 9) who competed in the State Cross Country yesterday in Yarra Glen. 

In what could only be described as genuine Cross Country conditions, Java and Miley ran fantastic races. Java finished 16th and Miley finished 43rd which is an incredible achievement at a state level with over 90 competitors in their races.

Well done Java and Miley! 

Koo Wee Olympics

Day 1 - Smashball: the battle of Smashball resulted in a year 7 and year 8 team going head-to-head. Year 7s were the victors (3-2) taking out gold with great sportsmanship. 

Day 2 - 3v3 Basketball: We had five teams (Yr7, 8, 11, 12 & staff) compete in our 3 on 3 basketball under blue skies. After our cutthroat knock out rounds, it came down to Year 12 vs Year 8 in the final. Year 12s came out as victors: Zac Taylor, Logan Meyer and Lachlan Hughes. Thanks to our umpires: Tyler Reichelt and Logan Meyer.

Day 3 - Rowing Time Trials: Many participants attending our 1-minute time trials on the school rowing machines, with Hunter Lewis and Claire Horan taking out the gold medals!

Day 4 - Year 12 v Staff Soccer: A great turn out for one of the most competitive ongoing competitions throughout the year. Some incredible skills on display, with students taking out the win 2-1!
