Tomorrow, Tuesday, 3rd September, we will be holding our NAIDOC Week activities. Terry Hinch and Maddie Simmonds-Cutt (Aboriginal Educational Assistants from St Francis Xavier School, Narrabri) will join us for the day. The day will commence with a Liturgy followed by various activities, including Yarning Circle, Indigenous art, Gamilaraay Language through games and Indigenous literature.

A bacon and egg roll will be supplied for lunch. If your child/ren does not wish to eat this for lunch, please ensure that you pack their lunch box. Cupcakes will also be provided.

ST JOSEPH'S SCHOOL QUIRINDI THEATRE PRODUCTION

Our students have been invited by St Joseph's School, Quirindi, to attend their Theatre Production matinee. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to see first-hand how a school production is presented in anticipation of Sacred Heart presenting their own theatre production in the future.

There will be two pick-up points: Sacred Heart School and Bloomfield Street, Gunnedah (behind the tennis courts). Students in K-4 will catch the Minibus with Mrs Roseby and Mrs Goddard and students in Years 5-6 will travel with Miss Langfield and Mrs Mitchell in Miss Langfield's vehicle.  Students in and around Boggabri must be at Sacred Heart School at 8:15am and the students in Gunnedah will be picked up behind the tennis courts in Gunnedah at 9am.

All students must pack their bags for a regular day: fruit break, recess, lunch, water bottle and their school hat. Sports uniform to be worn.

There is no charge for this event as the school will cover all expenses using our Commonwealth Government Student Wellbeing Boost funds. As this is an off-site activity, parents are required to give permission on Compass which will expire at 11:59pm today 2nd September. Students who haven't been given permission will not be able to attend this event.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Robyn in the office.

BOGGABRI ROTARY CLUB SMALL SCHOOLS' PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION

On Thursday, 19th September, Sacred Heart School will once again be hosting the Small Schools Public Speaking Competition, sponsored by the Boggabri Rotary Club. At this stage, Sacred Heart will be joined by students from Boggabri Public School, Mullaley, Premer and Fairfax. The day will commence at approximately 9:15am. Students are to come to school as normal so that rolls can be marked before the event. All students from K-6 will be participating in this day.

The Rotary Club will provide lunch for all, and we will be providing the coffee van, where coffee, hot chocolate, and homemade goodies will be available for morning tea and throughout the day. To make this successful, we ask families to supply the homemade goodies to be sold. Please ensure that all ingredients are listed. The profit from the coffee van will go to the PTF to fund future student resources.
