Principal Class News
Thursday 16th May was a day to honour and recognise the extraordinary contribution education support staff make to our school.
The Educational Support (ES) personnel are those magnificient people in the office, the incredible staff that help in First Aid and the amazing staff that support students who require additional support, care and guidance.
CSPS is privileged to work with THE very best humans that ensure that our children are provided with opportunities that ensure they can reach their full potential.
The Principal class and teaching staff are indebted to their professionalism and support in all things small and big.
A big hug and kiss to all the ES at CSPS.

Behave in a friendly manner BLITZ
For the remainder of the term, there will be a focus on one of the Embrace 4 Rules of CSPS "Behave in a Friendly Manner."
Please take an opportunity to discuss this with your children at home.
You may have seen the recent announcement of the School Saving Bonus, as part of the Victorian Budget 2024/25. We are sharing more information about how families will be able to access and use this support.
- This one-off support will include $400 for each eligible student to help families cover the costs of school uniforms and activities in 2025.
- It will be available to parents and carers of every child enrolled in a Victorian government school in 2025.
- Cash will not be paid directly to individuals or families. Instead, families will receive the bonus as credits on their school accounts that will help meet the costs of your children’s activities and uniforms.
Existing supports
The School Saving Bonus support will be in addition to existing and continuing means-tested supports for camps, sports, excursions and uniforms.
The application-based Affordable School Uniform program, through State Schools’ Relief, will continue to be available to families experiencing financial hardship or other forms of vulnerability and short-term crisis. This program allows schools to make multiple applications for support on parents' behalf throughout the year if needed.
There will be more information and guidance about the School Saving Bonus in Term 3, 2024, ahead of its implementation in 2025.
Assembly Performance
Foundation to Year 2 Parents and Carers
On Friday 24th May the Junior School classes will be performing a short musical item at assembly. The item will be a song or movement activity that they have enjoyed during music lessons. Parents are welcome to attend.
Many students are coming to school and consuming lollies such as lolly spray and sucking stick lollies. These are often being purchased from the General Store prior to coming to school. These lollies are not appropriate for consumption at school. Students are reporting to First Aid feeling unwell after consuming these lollies. As such, we are asking families to not include such as part of their child's lunches. Teachers will ask students to take them home. Thank you for your support.
Parking consideration
CSPS has had a few requests in the recent weeks from local residents regarding parking on nature strips and near driveways.
We ask the CSPS school community to please be mindful of where they park their cars and to show respect to the homes you are parking near.
Please be aware that City of Casey Council are regularly on patrol in our area and will issue parking fines if you park in forbidden areas.
