You did it, you did it, you did it! Well done everyone on an eventful Term 1. A huge congratulations for all you have achieved during the last nine weeks, for the foundations you have put in place- the daily routines and structures, and of course the time and investment you have put into the relationships you have built with students and their families.
I can’t wait to see what Term 2 brings, and the ways in which we can build upon what you already have in place.
Harmony Day
I hope you survived (and thrived) during the wonderful Harmony Day festivities, which is more than I can say for our MSS donkey piñata that made its way across the sub school. Hopefully you indulged in a treat, or toy- thank you to Room 17 who saved me what I am going to call my spirit animal, a bright pink flamingo! Huge thanks to Juri, the learning specialists and of course the wellbeing team for their support on the day. I know I speak on behalf of all staff when I say we appreciate your passion, drive and enthusiasm for all things SET!
As we wrap up for the holidays, be sure to tie up any loose ends with the following tasks:
Seesaw
Please audit your classroom accounts to ensure that each child has at least 9 posts associated with their account- that is, one post per week of the term. These can be photographs, work samples, videos, you name it.
OH&S
A gentle reminder from Mary that the OH&S psychosocial survey is due, helping to inform future actions at JSA that support the safety and wellbeing of staff.
Swimming
Please ensure you have communicated your own staffing considerations when it comes to swimming. Similarly, be sure to make contact with families of students who may require 1-1 support to ascertain whether they intend to join us. This will help tremendously in the planning of swimming as we head into the end of term.
Classroom Team Meeting Minutes
Please take the time to check that all minutes have been completed, or edited to indicate why the meeting was not able to occur (hot weather, excursion etc). This will mean we can head into Term 2 fresh!
Be safe during your break- enjoy that morning cup of coffee, indulge in that extra piece of cake, spend that extra hour in bed, and take the time to spend with those you love most. I will see your smiling faces on the other side of two weeks of bliss!
