After surveying our school community, we have made the decision to trial hosting our school Athletics Carnival at King George Oval, Glen Innes for 2024.
This decision has been made to ensure our young people have access to full Athletics facilities and additionally, have exposure to a carnival convened in the same way the Dioscean and Polding Athletics Carnivals are convened. Hosting the carnival over one school day instead of two will also limit the disruption to learning.
We understand that this may be difficult for some families, however we believe that in order to provide our young people with the best opportunities possible, we should trial this set up. Our school Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 30th May, 2024. Students will be bused to and from the venue, with the cost of the bus for this trial to be paid by the school. Further information about the carnival will be sent out via Compass closer to the date.
St Mary of the Angels have three school house colours. We encourage our students to wear these at school sport events, alternatively, sports uniform can be worn.
