Principal's Message
Ms Reynolds
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. The theme is Everyone Belongs - and it’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Orange is the official colour to show your support - we asked that students wear orange - or wear their cultural dress to support Harmony Day. Thank you to the SRC for organising this.
At GEPS - we have students from a range of backgrounds, languages and cultures making up our school. Here are some stat's:
We also have 63% of our staff bilingual with 9 languages spoken by GEPS staff members. What a diverse and vibrant school community!
This week was Mrs O'Grady's last week at GEPS - after 21 years!! She has been the bright, bubbly face of our office for so many years. Students and staff farewelled her with cards, gifts and lovely words!
We wish her all the very best in her retirement and for her move up to the beautiful coast of Queensland.
Thank you Mrs O'Grady!
