Dear Parents / Carers,
Term One will conclude at 2.30pm on Thursday 28 March. We have had a fabulous term of learning. Our families have been invited to a range of special events including a Leadership Badge Presentation and an exhibition of learning in STEM. We have our House Cross Country on Thursday and our final assembly for the term will be held in the gym at 1.30pm.
Term Two will commence at 8.45am on Tuesday 16 April. We will be having a Curriculum Day on Monday 15 April to launch our Staff Professional Development Program for the term with Andrew Lorimer-Derham who is a Mathematics Consultant. TeamKids will operate on the day and bookings can be made at https://www.teamkids.com.au/venues/rowville-primary-oshc-5/
Our Colour Splatacular School Run 4 Fun will occur on Tuesday 23 April at the Stud Park oval. This is a fundraising event with all money raised being used to fund the development of the Italian Village that is currently under construction. We are raising funds for the road and piazza that will be next to the new sensory playground. Our Italian teacher is overseeing this development. I encourage all families to create a profile so that we can raise funds and students are able to receive a prize for their efforts. Details for how a profile can be created are below...

The final meeting of the current School Council was held last night at the Mulgrave Country Club. We thanked our outgoing School Council members at the conclusion of this meeting. This was followed by the Annual General Meeting where the Annual Report was presented.
We also farewelled and acknowledged some members from the current School Council for their service to our school:
Kate Kirk served on School Council from 2019-2023. During her tenure Kate served as Vice President from 2021- 2023. Kate volunteered on a range of school activities including camps, discos, and the Bunnings sausage sizzle. Kate was part of a committee that led the process of selecting a provider for our out of school hours care that provided a high-quality service for our students. She was also a member of the Finance Committee.
Sian Sillett served on School Council from 2022-2023. Sian was the representative of the Health and Wellbeing Committee. She volunteered in a range of initiatives that promoted the health of students. Samples of healthy foods were organised as part of nutrition week celebrations at the school. Sian was instrumental in the development and organisation of the Cooking Collective. This involved leading a group of volunteer parents to prepare healthy snacks to be sold in the canteen.
Adrian Pearce served on school council from 2017-2023. Adrian was a valued member of the Finance Committee where he shared his expertise in finance. Adrian also supported the school through his regular attendance as a parent volunteer on school camps.
The new School Council voted in its office bearers and welcomed the new members of our School Council. I am pleased to announce that Lionel Beer has been re-elected as School Council President and Marinko Markovic has been elected as the new Vice- President.
